About Me

MaryBeth Gangemi

I am an experienced myofunctional therapist and Buteyko breathing educator with more than 25 years of experience working in health, education, and coaching.

My journey into this work began through my own experience, discovering how posture, airway health, and breathing patterns influence overall well-being. For years, exercise and posture-focused approaches didn’t resolve my rounded shoulders or respiratory discomfort. It wasn’t until I discovered that posture is reflexive, driven by airway function and breathing patterns that things began to shift. Once those underlying factors were addressed, everything changed.

Today, I work with children (typically age 3 and older), adolescents, and adults who are navigating challenges related to mouth breathing, oral posture, sleep, TMJ discomfort, fatigue, and body posture, as well as those looking to improve their overall health and well-being through breathing, movement, and lifestyle strategies.

At Kairos Strong, I bring together breathing-focused therapy, myofunctional therapy, movement, and education to support practical, sustainable change in how people breathe, move, and function in daily life.

For over 25 years, North Carolina has been home. My husband and I have raised our three children here, and I enjoy life outdoors with our dogs, chickens, and rabbits.

I believe that no matter your age or background, your body is designed to heal and feel good. If you’re ready to improve your breathing, posture, and overall well-being, I’d love to work with you.

About Systems Health Care

We created this space with the vision of offering thoughtful, whole-person care in a welcoming and supportive environment. Today, the practice includes a team of holistic physicians along with additional therapeutic services, allowing for collaboration across disciplines when appropriate.

Kairos Strong operates within Systems Health Care, where I provide my specialized services. This structure allows individuals and families to access a broader range of care while still receiving personalized, individualized attention.

We have intentionally created an environment that feels warm, relaxed, and family-centered. From removing shoes at the door to the porch swing, picnic table, nature trail and herbal tea in the waiting area, our goal is to provide a space that feels comfortable and grounded from the moment you arrive.
